About Philips Avent

Pregnancy and early parenthood is an exciting and challenging time, when it's good to know there is expert advice on hand to help take care of you and your baby. AVENT has been designing and manufacturing products since 1984 that are inspired by nature and have been developed through extensive research and clinical trials. Now, as part of the Philips Group, the new Philips AVENT will continue to produce innovative solutions that make feeding and caring for your baby easier.
Sleep and nutrition are vital to your baby’s health and happiness. Clinical studies show that the AVENT bottle is clinically proven to reduce fussing  and colic. Fussing is reduced especially at night.
AVENT Feeding Bottle
Clinically proven to reduce colic
The AVENT Feeding Bottle uses the unique AVENT Teat, which promotes healthy, active feeding and works with baby’s natural feeding rhythm. The AVENT Teat makes it easier for baby to switch between breast and bottle and is clinically proven to reduce colic.

Shaped for stability and comfort, the bottle’s waisted shape is easier to hold and its wide-neck design makes filling easy. This ultra-hygienic bottle is easy to clean and assemble as there are no small parts.

Clear markings on the bottle ensure accurate measurement and make it easier to determine how much baby has been fed. The dome cap seals the AVENT Teat securely to ensure leak proof mixing and travel without the need for separate sealing disc.
FEATURES:
The Philips Avent bottles has naturally-shaped teats, combined with the fact that your baby controls milk flow more like breastfeeding, makes it easier to combine breast and bottle feeding.
As your baby feeds, the unique skirt on the AVENT nipple flexes to allow air into the bottle, preventing any vacuum build-up.

This allows your baby to suckle almost as at the breast. Listen for the gentle whistling sound and watch the air bubbles burst on the surface of the milk. That's your guarantee that the air is being released into the bottle not into your baby's tummy.

The Philips AVENT bottle was shown to significantly reduce fussing by approximately 28 minutes a day as compared to the comparator bottle (46 min vs 74 min, p=0.05). This was especially true during night time
What is BPA?
Bisphenol A, also known as BPA is a chemical used to make certain types of plastics. It is thought that if consumed BPA can be harmful, especially throughout the early stages of development. It can interfere with healthy growth and body functions.Babies are particularly vulnerable to this damage.
What is AVENT'S Polypropylene (PP) Bottles?
PP bottles are BPA-free and are clinically proven to help prevent colic and reduce fussing at night.
*Polypropylene (PP) is a more plyable material that has a milky hue. Philips AVENT bottles made of this material come with an additional adaptor ring (For Classic Series Bottles) and without additonal adaptor ring (For Natural Series Bottles) to ensure the unique skirt on the teat always fits the ring of the bottle, guaranteeing the anti-colic feature.
